Calpe (Calp, Calpe), a municipality in Spain, is part of the province of Alicante as part of the autonomous community of Valencia (autonomous community). The municipality is located in the district (komarki) Marina-Alta. It occupies an area of 23.51 km ² and its population ascends to 29909 people (for 2010).
In Calpe, there are several large supermarkets: Eroski, Mercadona, Mas Y Mas, Consum, etc. Every weekend in the city there is a street market.
The coastline of Calpe occupies 13 kilometers of sandy beaches and rocky coastline. The beaches of Calpe are considered one of the best beaches on the Costa Blanca, as evidenced by the numerous blue flags.
The most attractive natural phenomenon is the mountain Ifach or half-island Ifach "Peñón de Ifach", which extends into the sea for 1 km and occupies an area of 50,000 m 2.
